I teach an engineer who applies everything he’s learnt about structures and systems to playing piano, and it works brilliantly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He feels confident making creative leaps because he knows the structure is sound, and if he falls it won’t be very far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn’t stop him swearing when he makes mistakes, but it’s always in the spirit of ‘let’s see what happens’ and ‘I’ll give it another go.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s like building a bridge and knowing it will carry your weight when you dance across it. And when you trip or fall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
